Introductions with Mark, Martin and Lyle.

 10:30AM-11:30AM - MARK RYDELL "THE ROSE"

A clip of The Rose will be shown.

• Directing, writing and acting, including casting
• Directors homework
• Development of the script
• Coming to the set prepared
• Directors POV
• Working with the actors
• Talking to the Cinematographer
• Obstacles
• Tips to succeed

 "CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS"

Two scenes that were chosen to be analyzed will be handed out, cast and read.

 1:00PM-2:00PM - LUNCH

Actors rehearse the scenes.

Fast Food places are located within a five minute walk in the Student Union Building. There is also a large collection of vending machines outside the hall with a variety of food items.

 2:00PM-3:30PM - SCENE 1

The first scene will be staged for camera.

• Actors read the scene
• Mark works with the Actors
• Adjustments
• Mark talks with DP
• Discuss camera placement
• Mark and DP break scene up into takes
• Coverage
• Reaction shots
• Video feedback
• Analysis of acting and writing with Martin and Lyle
